What did Palin say?

On Monday, with the news of Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, and AIG,
Sarah Palin spoke about how the government said "no more" to corporate
bailouts. I have criticized her for that comment with the past
bailouts and congressional discussion of bailing out the auto industry
for $50 billion. She spoke of how it is not the taxpayer's
responsibility to face the burdens of taxes to pay these corporations.

AYE! What happened? AIG BAILOUT!!!!!!!

Why? Losses across corporations across the globe would have suppressed
the economy through tightened credit. So how does that play out?
Corporations will have more trouble getting money, so it will restrict
its ability to grow, thus impacting jobs, prices, so on and so forth.

AIG will pay the US government high interest rates on its 80 Billion
dollar 2 year loan, while granting the US government 80% control over
the nation's largest insurance company.

Off Shore Drilling

The House of Representatives approved a package to lift the ban off of
Atlantic and Pacific coast lines (as close as 50 miles). This Package
(and alternatives) will now go before the Senate. Apparently, money
acquired from the drilling would be incentive which finances our long
term development of renewable energy.

So if this legislation is not passed by September 30, the current ban
will be alleviated, allowing exploration to occur up to 3 miles off
the US shore. I'm predicting George Bush and his devil straw goes
after it all, so he really goes out with a bang.

"Republicans vowed to continue their push right up to Election Day for
a more expansive drilling program and more funding for nuclear power."

So I'm a bit confused. So the republicans were aggravated because this
legislation prevented drillers from exploring area closer to the shore
lines which are known to be rich in oil. However,,,,,,, when off shore
wind projects are discussed, that's immediately given a red light
(Cape Wind. I am aware that there are many issues regarding this,
which I'll further explore at a later time, but still). I say we drill
Cape Cod. And Malibu. Outside the OC (based on the show, im expecting
orange county, CA to be all rich and fancy). I'm saying, the
republicans want to drill closer, provided that it further suppresses
the poor further. Not in my backyard.

Until Next Time.

FOX vs. MSNBC

It is just hilarious to watch one news channel and compare it to
another. I am just watching it now, and Fox just talks about how
democrats were tearing up Palin... per usual. She is, just, well, bad.
However, here's a video just from Michelle Obama's speech at DNC...
you'll get the hang of it!

The Financial Industry etc

Im just watching recaps of the republicans regarding the current
financial industry. Mccain MADE A PROMISE that Wall street will be
cleaned up and this situation will never happen again. I might compare
that to saying "there will never be a terrorist attack again.," which
is a decently far reach, but fair enough. Palin's comment was even
better, talking about how the government was putting its foot down and
saying "we will not bail you out." No more, yada yada. Yea okay Palin.
That's after it intervened with Bear Stearns, Freddie and Fannie, and,
oh yea, the current auto industry. Keeping in mind that while the
Freddie and Fannie fiasco was developing, the Treasury gave it a blank
check. Wow. But yea, no more, no more! haha. I haven't heard any of
the democrats, but look forward to it. Short post, but wanted to get
it out there quickly.

Until Next Time.

Another video regarding US economy

Another video from Don Harrold.

Don talks about Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers, Lehman Brothers
which is about to go bankrupt and Merrill Lynch which is being bought
out by Bank of America... Next up, Washington Mutual. Sure, banks buy
one another out, etc... but not like this.

I often agree with Don Harrold, and here is another prime example. The
American consumer is at fault for creating this issue of monstrous
debt. And not debt like school loans, but this day to day use of
credit cards to buy meals, gas, groceries, etc. I feel it is partially
the fault of the consumer, but not 100%, for these corporations and
credit providers are to blame as well.

But yes, clear debt. Look over it all, and create a repayment plan to
eliminate it as soon as possible. And not by meeting the minimum
payment, which can ultimately take years to reduce (not to mention the
additional costs from interest etc). My plan- eliminate 1/4 of my
school debt and all of my cc debt over the next year.
And monitor your spending! I've seen it, individuals cutting up credit
cards. if that's what is called for, do it.

For those that do not have a credit card, it is still important to
establish credit and what not (figure getting a loan for an
automobile, a mortgage, etc). Again, just monitor your habits. So a
suggestion- if you have a checking/ savings account, you can apply for
a credit card through that bank. My first credit card was back in
2004. A First American Bank card that had a $500 maximum (cannot have
more than $500 owed at one time.), and something near 20% interest
(very high). Intentionally charge a total of a couple hundred dollars
on there, and pay the minimum payment month to month. Sure, you can
pay off a 200 dollar bill at once, but the idea is to show you can
responsibly and continuously make payments in full and on time (PS,
most cards will offer a year or so of 0% APR, so interest will not be
accumulating). You can also have cards opened with no balance on them,
so no need to closing them out etc. However, when you open a new
account, be sure to monitor the balance on older cards (I prefer to
have zero balance on cards I do not use). And say you use a card for 6
months, you can contact the company and ask for a reduced rate and
increased credit limit etc.). So in my case, after about 2 years, I
was offered, through Chase, a card with 8.99% interest and something
like a $15,000-$20,000 credit limit, which is pretty good... (I owe a
couple grand on that card, which I will work to eliminate right now...
I just threw on about $1800 from a trip, and I havent worked in a
couple of months, so yea... my approach will be to pay about $350 a
month for that card.).

Until next time.

Presidential Candidates

interesting, I just saw this from the Washington Post.

http://projects.washingtonpost.com/2008-presidential-candidates/

It suggests that the presidential candidates are Obama and Mccain. No
need to worry about the Green Party, Independent Party, etc.

Here's a Ron Paul vid. check it out. good stuff.

More BS from the news. Minimally related to politics this time!!!

AH, the media and this new craze over prostitution. The media's new
big thing, after Eliot Spitzer's call girl Ashley Alexandra Dupré made
her claim to fame, now this new gal Brooke Taylor comes across the
news. apparently a graduate from a religious university, now a
prostitute on the bunny ranch?

WHO CARES

Media gives what will sell to the people.

Palin on waging war with Russia

Palin talks about how if Georgia was a membering nation of NATO, and
if Russia invaded it again, then NATO must defend that country. Palin
says numerous times that this situation need not lead to war, or a
Cold War, "but economic sanctions, diplomatic pressure, again,
counting on our allies to help us do that in this mission of keeping
our eye on Russia and Putin and some of his desire to control and to
control much more than smaller democratic countries."

Aren't those the main characteristics of a Cold War?

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D934QEDG0&show_article=1

"Our national leaders are sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from
God"- Palin
Hey, remember when Bush was ranting and raving about the Crusade? Just
what we need. Oh wait, McCain is a war expert and can single handedly
direct our military in destroying the world.

neat.

Oh, time for a tactic that I learned from the scum sector (not all
republicans) of the republican party.
Ah wait, I wont sink to those levels.

Until Next Time.

Casualties, war, so on and so forth.

I remember back in the first few days of Walt Whitman High School in
2001, my first few days as a sophomore after returning from my year at
St. Anthony's. I believe I was sitting in Global History II with Mr.
Eliot Nirenberg. No, that can't be right. I just can't completely
remember the schedule. It was second period when we were notified over
loud speaker that the first tower was hit, but were uncertain whether
it was an aeronautical error or a deliberate attack. Some time later,
we were notified of the second strike, and so it began. While in
Nirenberg's class, we spoke about terrorism, al Queda, and Osama bin
Laden.

These acts of terror, the constant videos, audio clips, and news
flashes covering the television screen. A smoke filled sky, people
jumping from skyscrapers. The planes, the footage running again and
again, countless hours. The collapse, debris everywhere. The quest for
survivors, digging hours after hours. The phrase "let's roll." I
remember spending hours working at a factory with Red Cross,
organizing and packaging up pallet after pallet with donated goods,
ready to be shipped off to manhattan.

George Bush declaring a war on terror. A nation, completely confident
in our leader, leading us into the endless battle against terror. Huge
support, and we needed a leader to act in such times of crisis.

Some 7 years later, I still clearly remember that first day. I see now
how the media manipulated me. I remember verbally striking out at a
friend that was Afghan. I remember the hatred, as the news showed
middle easterners dancing, clapping, and smiling in the streets. And I
was completely prepared to support whatever was necessary to make
these people suffer.

I was young, 15, hitting puberty. I wasn't capable of thinking on my
own. At this age, we are easily manipulated by what we see (and maybe
we still have this at all ages, except I try to overcome it). But
these most influential people; our parents, our teachers, the
president, these intelligent news reporters... how can you really
stand out and even consider that we are being manipulated? How did we
enter Iraq, the reason why we are still there? Spreading democracy? I
dont think we entered Iraq for that reason. OH, weapons of mass
destruction. that's right. Why now? Why not when Saddam poisoned and
killed 5000 kurds?

I completely support our troops. And today, I remember those few
thousand people, be it working in the twin towers, on the planes, in
the pentagon, etc. Also, those individuals that sacrificed their lives
by entering to save others, doing whatever they could to save a life.
I think of the families, friends, so on, that have lost someone they
loved. I wish our troops the best of luck, and want them to know my
heart is with each and every one of them. I hope for their protection,
be it granted by whatever power (or however you wish to call It- God,
Yahweh, Allah) you wish.

I must say, I am on the fence about blatantly saying I hate George
Bush. Those individuals that are knowingly making ridiculous amounts
of money off of this war, the oil industry, financial investors. Also,
those that are becoming uber rich at the expense of the lower middle
class and lower class. There will be a time when these lower people
will rise.

So I have been trying to find death tolls from Afghans, but am having
trouble. Google quite easily spits out the data for Coalition and
American troops that have been killed though. Go figure.

Anyway, there have been 30,000 American casualties in Iraq (Iraq only,
not Afghanistan) since the beginning (March 19, 2003). Compared to
1.255 MILLION Iraqi DEATHS. The difference between casualties and
deaths? Casualties include any war related injuries, be it a missing
arm or PTSD, and also, deaths. The Iraqi DEATHS are simply deaths, and
does not include casualties. So let's say the technology preserves the
lives of the Americans. Either way, the number of casualties of US
compared to Iraqi DEATHS is a 40x difference, an enormous amount.

WE MUST TAKE CONTROL OF OUR COUNTRY
WE CANNOT BE WALKED ON
ACT AGAINST A TYRANNIC GOVERNMENT

Until Next time.

Im sick of this pig lipstick, eyeliner BS

That's Mccain talking about Clinton's healthcare program. But now...

Oh, Obama referred to Palin as yada yada. Non sense. Clearly, Obama is
talking about the similarities between Bush and Mccain. Check the
video yourself.

"It's calling the same thing something different... "you can put
lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig."

Obama isn't even talking about Palin. Fox News should be destroyed.
